Their easy and low-cost production together with their unique optoelectronic properties make them promising materials, for a multitude of applications including light-emitting diodes, lasers, photodetectors, scintillators, field-effect transistors and photovoltaics (PVs). However, many <strong>challenges r<\/strong>elated to their stability in prolonged environmental exposure (moisture, oxygen, irradiation) need to be addressed for their implementation in the real world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The results generated within SHINE will afford to a significant advancement in understanding both <strong>fundamental structures and dynamic processes in LDHPs <\/strong>and their correlations to physicochemical properties and performances. This will have a significant scientific impact, guiding the <strong>rational design of more efficient and stable LDHPs<\/strong>. Further, SHINE is contributing in neutralizing the environmental impact of the perovskite-based materials by increasing the life-time of Pb-based HPs and also utilizing <strong>benign metals <\/strong>(e.g. Sn or Ge), and more <strong>sustainable fluorine-based water-repellent agent<\/strong>s, paving \u201c<strong>greener\u201d pathways for fabrication of HP-based devices<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hybrid organic-inorganic perovskites (HPs) have emerged as a frontrunner in the field of semiconductor technology.
